The Comm Case completed its first endurance test in the field during a trial deployment by the Freyung-Grafenau NBC platoon. The case was put into operation using a rechargeable battery, while an additional antenna on the roof of a fire department multi-purpose vehicle provided additional range. A hotspot was set up so that the forces in the MZF and the management team in the pavilion could access a fast and reliable network connection. Personal mobile devices & tablets were thus relieved, as was the battery life of the handheld devices. Online situation map management and hazardous substance queries were therefore ensured at all times. Thanks to a stable and reliable internet connection, the fire department's emergency services could be coordinated efficiently. The Comm Case successfully completed its two-hour battery operation without any failures. Depending on the load and battery capacity, the running time can be increased to up to 24 hours in continuous operation.
